Support Boyes in the North East!

Apparently Boyes stocks of hobby products are still an experiment. And it amazes me that they don't show Vallejo on their flyers!

http://www.boyes.co.uk/home/home_client_img/hobby.pdf

I suppose it doesn't help if you have no idea about how people find things on the web. Guess what - IF IT'S AN IMAGE GOOGLE CANNOT INDEX IT AND NO-ONE WILL FIND YOU!

So, I'm going to do my bit and they can pay me the SEO fees later...

At the time of writing these stores are stocking a good range of hobby supplies:

York – from Thursday 28 July 2011
Ilkley – from Thursday 4 August 2011
Scarborough – from Thursday 4 August 2011
Arnold – from Friday 5 August 2011
Bridlington – from Thursday 11 August 2011
Billingham – from Thursday 11 August 2011

Now, as far as I can tell they don't seem to all stock everything. For example, my local York store seems to have less than the Scarborough store (which is like an Aladin's cave of hobby materials!) although that could just be store layout and the day I went in on. The scarborough store seems to have more in every time I go, but for all the things I really 'need' (i.e. Vallejo paints) York is perfectly adequate.

This is a TEXT version of the above flyer:

Introducing our brand  extensive Hobby Range featuring Miniature figures, Military Aircraft & Vehicles and Boxed products from...
  • Flames of War
  • Guillows
  • Zvezda
  • Tamiya
  • Airfix
  • Master Box Ltd
  • Italiari
  • Dragon
  • MiniArt
  • Armourfast Military Models
  • Hobby Boss
  • Revel
  • Perry Miniatures
  • Victrix
  • Bolt Action
  • Plastic Soldier
  • Kings of War
  • Ancient Armies
  • Eduard
  • Academy Hobby Model Kits
  • Warhammer
  • Warhamer 40k
  • Lord of the Rings
  • Warlord Games
  • Pike and Shotte
  • Games Workshop (I've seen the full paint range in there, plus some tools)
  • Vallejo - All of the paints, boxes of the pigments and washes, airbrush supplies and loads of other bits! Why do they not list them of the flyer?
If this pilot scheme is successful we could potentially open ‘Model & Hobby departments’ in all our 41 stores.

Our aim is to make Hobby & Craft gaming products more accessible in the High Street for enthusiasts old and new and to encourage the younger generation to start a new fun and exciting Hobby!

If YOU would like to see on the High Street a dedicated Model & Hobby retail outlet then GET YOURSELF  DOWN TO BOYES.

(And then maybe Boyes will hire a web developer... I'm always open to offers ;-) )

Let me know if you do, or don't, see things when you're in there and we can add/remove them to/from the list.
